Metal Gear Solid 4 is seemingly making its way out of PS3, as Konami teases release in modern platforms

Fans of Hideo Kojima have always had a hard time playing Metal Gear Solid 4, as the title has been exclusively on PS3 since its release over 15 years ago.

Metal Gear Solid 4

Of all the installments in Hideo Kojima’s legendary stealth saga, Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots is the only one that has never left its original platform, PlayStation 3. It is true that it has been available through the cloud on PlayStation 4 and above, but there has never been a proper remaster or re-release. Now, fans suspect that it will be included in the Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection Vol. 2 compilation, but what does Konami have to say about it?

In an interview with IGN, producer Noriaki Okamura teased that Old Snake’s adventure is coming: “We definitely are aware of this situation with MGS4. Unfortunately we can’t really say too much at the moment with Vol. 1 containing MGS 1-3 dot dot dot… you can probably connect the dots!” He then left things up in the air again: “Right now we still are internally concerned about what we should be doing for the future of the series. So sorry, we can’t really reveal anything at the moment. But stay tuned!”

The remake of Metal Gear Solid 3, an upgrade that respects the original work

In addition to Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection, Konami is preparing the remake of Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater. As in the case of Silent Hill 2 Remake, first impressions of MGS Delta: Snake Eater have been very positive. However, unlike the horror title, this product does not add new areas but rather respects the original product directed and written by Hideo Kojima. These are our first impressions.

Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots went on sale in 2008, which closed Solid Snake’s story. The following installments, Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker and Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain, starred Big Boss/Naked Snake.
