Michael’s actor in GTA V slams critics who accuse GTA 6 of going woke: “clowns”
Ned Luke, Michael de Santa in GTA V, isn’t biting his tongue at those who accuse Rockstar of going woke.
Until sometime in 2025, when GTA 6 hits stores, we will continue to talk about Rockstar’s game, and a lot of it. And even then, given all the issues surrounding the ever-controversial saga, one of the most popular and best-selling ever.
Something that has raised suspicions among some players is its female protagonist, Lucia, who along with Jason will be the ones who take the reins of the adventure, with her taking the lead if we stick to what we saw in its first and explosive trailer. This conversation, which as usual revolves around the so-called “woke culture”, has not gone unnoticed by Ned Luke, an authoritative voice, as he is the actor who played Michael de Santa in GTA V.
“Lucia’s hard, man. In the trailer, she looked good”, says Luke in an interview with IGN. “You get a lot of these clowns out here going ‘Rockstar’s going woke, they’re caving in to the wokeness of the world’. First of all, there’s been other female protagonists in the past, but obviously not in something as huge as this.”
“GTA 6 is going to be the biggest game ever. But she looked good, but protagonist-wise, she looks like a badass to me,” he continues. “That last scene where they come busting in, she just looked like a badass. And the thing that was cool was that she led the way. She kicked open the door, and then Jason was back here. So I don’t know if you read into that as she’s going to be the big time and he’s going to be with her, or what”
Who will play Lucia in GTA 6?
Meanwhile, other fans have more important things to speculate about, and that is who will be the actress playing the game’s protagonist. All rumors point to Manni L. Perez, with roles in shows like ‘Chicago P.D.’, ‘Jessica Jones’ or ‘Law and Order’, and who has given clues beyond her obvious physical resemblance.
Perez announced months ago that she was working on something “very big”, although she could not say what it was at the time. In a subsequent interview, he was specifically asked about a role in ‘GTA 6′, to which, as you can imagine, he did not give a clear answer, neither denying nor confirming his participation in the video game.
