Microsoft has officially announced its June event: Xbox Games Showcase & Starfield Direct Date and Time
We take a look at all the details of the event in which Microsoft and Bethesda will present their new products and try to save a very complicated year for Xbox.
Although we were already expecting a new Xbox Showcase for June, it was only today that Microsoft confirmed the date and time of the Showcase. The company also used this announcement to remind us that it will be immediately followed by a Starfield Direct that will once and for all delve into what looks to be one of the biggest releases of the year.
After the Redfall snafu and the Activision purchase being blocked, Microsoft and Bethesda are trying to turn around what has been a difficult year for the Xbox brand. Nothing that a handful of Game Pass additions or a look at Hellblade 2, Forza Motorsport, Fable and Perfect Dark can’t fix.
What can we expect at the Xbox Games Showcase?
The official Xbox website is clear: “Join us for some new surprises and first-looks from our incredibly talented internal studios, and our many creative partners around the world.” Without naming names, Microsoft assures that “this is the day gamers have been waiting for” and makes it clear that it will reveal how much is coming to Xbox, PC and Game Pass.
And after the string of announcements (about 90 minutes if the length of other years is repeated), we will have a full Starfield Direct, showing in detail what we can expect from one of the games that will be leading the GOTY nominations.
How will you be able to watch?
