Hi-Fi Rush was a huge success for Xbox and Microsoft

Xbox’s VP of Marketing revealed on Twitter how Hi-Fi Rush was such an incredible success for the entire gaming division, pointing at things to come.

Update:
Hi-Fi Rush expectativas Xbox Aaron Greenberg

Xbox has publicly shared their stance on the rumors surrounding Hi-Fi Rush. Aaron Greenberg, vice president of marketing at Xbox, explained that the title “was a break out hit for us and our players in all key measurements and expectations. We couldn’t be happier with what the team at Tango Gameworks delivered with this unexpected release.”

Rumors of danger for the company came from Jeff Grubb, a well-known insider of the medium. During his last appearance at the Game Mess podcast, the journalist said that he had “heard that management was not happy with the state of Xbox.” He pointed out that big games like Halo Infinite failed to make “lots of money” and that this could hurt games like Hi-Fi Rush.

Greenberg’s response happened in a thread where he replied to Jez Corden, editor of Windows Central. The journalist’s tweet was trying to find a way to determine what it means for an Xbox game to be successful today, when Xbox Game Pass has such a presence in the business model of the division.

Hi-Fi Rush, “the game you didn’t know you needed”

With those words we opened our review of the Tango Gameworks project. The game received a 9 out of 10 score from us, supported by the excellent “mixture of hack and slash and musical game”.

“Hi-Fi Rush is a special game, very well measured at the level of mechanics and perfectly balanced in everything it offers. You smile at the beginning and you don’t stop until you finish it. Dynamic and varied, it is a mix of hack and slash and a sublime musical game at times, in which the rhythm -pun intended- does not drop and which is very well accompanied by a vibrant audiovisual style capable of differentiating itself not only in the what but also the how”, we said.
