Under the name Tricky Trials, update 1.21 is now available in Minecraft Java and Bedrock and brings with it a handful of varied new features to review.

It’s been almost a year since Minecraft 1.20 arrived, but that’s all in the past now. Starting today, Minecraft will be updated to version 1.21, also known as Tricky Trials, and we’ll be reviewing everything that comes with this version of Minecraft as it celebrates its 15th anniversary.

What is new in Minecraft 1.21?

Minecraft version 1.21 brings a lot of new features to the game. Here is an overview of the most important ones that come with this update. You can see the full list of updates at this link.

2 new mobs

As part of the game’s mobs, we have the arrival of Breezer, a mob dedicated to leaping around its target inside the Trial Chamber rooms. Be careful when attacking him from a distance, as he deflects almost all projectiles and is an aggressive enemy. On the other hand, we have Bogged, a new type of skeleton that shoots poisonous arrows, from whom you can obtain this type of arrow after killing them.

New blocks

Along with all this, we have a new series of blocks, among which the Crafter stands out, which, as its name suggests, allows you to craft items and blocks using redstone. On the other hand, we have a whole series of blocks representing the Copper family. And related to the next section, we have the Heavy Core, which is a mysterious, dense block that can only be obtained in the Ominous Vaults.

Meet Mace, your new favorite weapon

Among the weapons to craft, we have the Mace this new heavy weapon, which is obtained thanks to a Heavy Core and a Breeze Rod, and although it loses durability, it can be repaired in an Anvil. What makes it different from the other weapons is its unique attack, called Smash Attack, which can help reduce damage when falling from a certain height and can damage everything below us.
