Naruto celebrates its 20th anniversary with a trailer for its new episodes: the Konoha ninjas return

The original Naruto is coming back modernized to celebrate the 20 years that have passed since it was first broadcasted in Japan with a completely new animation.

Update:
Naruto

Fans of Naruto are in luck; because this summer, news about the work created by Masashi Kishimoto have been abundant and constant, from a new self-contained story of the manga centered on Minato to the announcement of the new chapters of the Boruto manga, in addition to the topic at hand today: the first look at the latest episodes of the Naruto anime on the occasion of its 20th birthday, despite the fact that the television series premiered at the end of 2002. We now have a trailer for this remake of the original Naruto anime, a first look that you can enjoy below these lines and that allows us to see some new sequences in front of scenes already known to all.

When do the new episodes of Naruto come out?

At the moment, not many details are known about this updated version of the anime. Studio Pierrot is currently in charge of the anime, although those responsible assure that they are treating the series and the original material with great care. Naruto fans will be able to recognize most of the scenes in the trailer, so it is unclear to what extent the classic episodes are being redone or if only minor improvements are being added here and there to the original material.

Be that as it may, from Studio Pierrot assure that this is a “brand new animation”, although again, it is not specified if they’re targeting the entire series or if it will affect only specific episodes of the 200 that the original anime has; without counting those of Naruto Shippuden, of course.

The new episodes of Naruto will start airing in Japan on September 3, 2023 for four weeks in a row with one episode per week. In the absence of knowing more details about this rerun, at least we can once again enjoy the most classic versions of Naruto, Sasuke, Sakura, and Kakashi.
