Dragon Ball Daima’ has left us with its 18th episode a moment for the history of Akira Toriyama’s work, something that fans have been dreaming about for decades and that is finally becoming a reality. The Super Saiyan 4 is already canon, one of the most beloved transformations by fans that we could enjoy in Dragon Ball GT and now, thanks to Dragon Ball Daima, opens a world of possibilities to reappear in the future.

The battle against King Gomah has begun, the series is nearing its end, and our protagonists are fighting against the terrifying power of the Third Eye. When everything seems to come to an end, an enormous power awakens in Son Goku. As recognizable as it is, the design is different from what we’ve seen before, but it’s the most exciting moment we’ve seen in Dragon Ball Daima and a confirmation that yes, SSJ4 is finally canon.

A Dream Come True in ‘Dragon Ball’

Dragon Ball Daima' has managed to expand and develop aspects of the universe created by Akira Toriyama that we were not aware of and not entirely clear about. Now the Super Saiyan 4 is a reality, something that was speculated due to the fact that in the Demon Kingdom we were able to see transformations like Vegeta’s Super Saiyan 3. In addition, the original designer of this transformation in ‘Dragon Ball GT’, Katsuyoshi Nakatsuru, is part of Daima in character design.

Super Saiyan 4 is directly related to the most brutal power of the Saiyan race, being a hybrid state between the Great Ape and the Super Saiyan. In Dragon Ball GT, it was achieved by Son Goku and Vegeta, as well as their fusion Gogeta.
