Need for Speed Most: Wanted Remake? Fans go wild over latest clue
The 2005 game is one of the most popular among fans of the saga.
In 2024, the Need for Speed saga will be no less than 30 years old. A license that has given us countless titles and in which we have seen everything: illegal races, tuning, police chases, search for collectibles in open worlds... The last installment, Unbound, arrived at the end of last year, and although we still have nothing official about what the next one will be like, there is a clue that has made the fans go crazy: Could the next game be a Need for Speed: Most Wanted Remake?
When we talk about Most Wanted, we are not talking about the 2012 reboot, but the original 2005 game for PS2, GameCube, PC, Xbox, and Xbox 360. Yes, the same game that featured a stunning and unforgettable silver and blue BMW M3 GTR (E46) on its cover. A wild beast capable of reaching a top speed of 242 miles per hour, and that was the protagonist’s car, although at the beginning of the game, we saw it being stolen by Razor, the story’s villain.
¿Need for Speed: Most Wanted Remake in 2024?
If many people take it for granted is because it is not just any rumor, but the confession of Simone Bailly, actress of a character in the original game (she is a police officer companion of Sergeant Cross and appears in several scenes of the story), who has published a message on her social media in which she does not hesitate to speak openly about Need for Speed: Most Wanted Remake, dating it for 2024 and even quoting Criterion Games and the official account of the franchise. As expected, the post was later deleted by the actress, although it was retrieved by users.
The truth is that it would be fantastic news if we get to see Need for Speed: Most Wanted Remake sooner rather than later, since as of today it is not possible to access the original game on any platform, as it is not available on Steam, nor is it backward compatible on Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S.
