Netflix has released a new Arcane Season 2 teaser focused on Ekko and Heimerdinger
With still a few months to go before release, Netflix has released a new teaser for Season 2 of Arcane, with even more League of Legends characters at the forefront.
The wait is long and patience is growing thin, but fans of Arcane now have a bit of a relief, as Netflix has finally revealed a new clip of the upcoming Season 2 ahead of its release in November, and while it may not be much to satiate our hunger for answers, it’s still a pretty good showing of the charisma and personality of the characters that made the series shine during its first season.
In the small 50-second teaser, Ekko and Heimerdinger can be seen infiltrating the University of Piltover for reasons unknown, but it’s safe to assume (given the state both of them were left at the end of the previous season) that they have to work together to secure some Hextech to be able to strike back at those that have put the city in a state of chaos. Whether they are aware of the players in the shadows behind Jinx or not, it’s at least good to see that these two genius inventors from opposite worlds will continue to team up in whatever transpires during this season.
The end of Arcane, the beginning of something much larger
As was announced by Riot Games, the story of Arcane is coming to an end with the release of Season 2, which means that we will get a definitive conclusion to Vi and Jinx’s plot. And while that means that the series will come to an end, it’s also been revealed that it won’t be the last project for the world of Runeterra.
“From the very beginning, since we started working on this project, we had a very specific ending in mind, which means the story of ‘Arcane’ wraps up with this second season,” revealed Christian Linke, co-creator of the show. “But ‘Arcane’ is just the first of many stories that we want to tell in Runeterra.”
The world of Runeterra and League of Legends is full to the brim with, as the name of the game implies, legendary characters, heroes, villains, gods and everything in between. So there is an almost endless source of stories that could eventually be brought to the small (or the big) screen.
