Netflix is down: When it will be up and why you can't watch streaming movies and series

The streaming platform is down and won’t let you watch movies and shows. We look at how you can find out about its status and problems.

Update:
Netflix

The show you were watching on Netflix freezes and won’t load? The streaming platform won’t let you play a movie? Don’t worry, it’s not your router or that you forgot to pay your subscription. Nor is it a connection failure. The application simply had a worldwide problem, “went down,” as the saying goes, and will be temporarily unavailable until those responsible fix it.

Netflix’s official Twitter account has not yet commented on the matter and no statement has been issued, but that could be a good sign. Maybe they think that the connectivity issues will be fixed quickly and that it’s not even worth making a statement. Another thing that worries us is that there is still no report on Netflix’s status page, where they assure that there is no error and that “we are not currently experiencing any interruption in our streaming service”. Although it already warns that technical support is overloaded and response times are “higher than usual”.

When will Netflix be up and running again?

Given the importance of the application to the entertainment world and the blow to Netflix’s image, the downtime should not last too long and it is likely to be a matter of minutes before they are back up and running.

You can follow any updates on the status of Netflix from the application’s status page and from the Downdetector website, where any user can report an outage and report such problems. There, the current crash has already accumulated more than a thousand reports.
