New ‘Alien: Earth’ trailer shows Xenomorphs arriving on Earth

A spaceship crashes on our planet and the deadliest predator in the universe spreads terror.

Alien Earth

You can’t hear the screams in space, but what’s happening on Earth? ‘Alien: Earth’, the highly anticipated Hulu series, marks the return of the sci-fi classic. Following the events of the new movie, this new production will focus on the arrival of the Xenomorphs on our planet. This teaser trailer focuses on that moment. As you can see above, one of the creatures scurries through the corridors and the ship manages to enter the atmosphere, heralding a bleak future for humanity.

The series is being developed by Noah Hawley (‘Fargo’) and is a prequel to ‘Alien’ that takes place a few years before the Nostromo disaster: “When a mysterious space vessel crash-lands on Earth, a young woman (Sydney Chandler) and a ragtag group of tactical soldiers make a fateful discovery that puts them face-to-face with the planet’s greatest threat in FX’s highly anticipated TV series Alien: Earth from creator Noah Hawley.”

Terror at home

In an interview with Deadline, Noah Hawley explained why the new series is set on Earth. For the showrunner, “There’s something about seeing a Xenomorph in the wilds” on the planet. “That is truly chilling to think of it moving here among us,” he said. He couldn’t reveal “under what circumstances,” but promised that viewers will have a reason to “lock your door that night” in fear.

‘Alien: Earth’ will premiere on Hulu this summer. The series comes one year after ‘Alien: Romulus’, the movie directed by Fede Alvarez, which is already available to watch on Hulu.
