New State of Play announced: date, time, and how to watch PlayStation event
The Japanese company joins Summer Game Fest 2024, Xbox Games Showcase, PC Gaming Show, and Ubisoft Forward and will hold a conference where it will present new games for PS5 and PS4.
E3 no longer exists, but now gamers enjoy the not E3 2024. In other words, several days where video game companies gather to show the world their new games and future plans. We already had the Summer Game Fest 2024 presented by Geoff Keighley, the Xbox Games Showcase 2024, the PC Gaming Show 2024, and the Ubisoft Forward 2024. Now it’s Sony’s turn, as a State of Play has just been announced for tomorrow, Thursday, May 30th.
When is the event?
The event will take place on Thursday, May 30, 2024, at 3:00 PM PT. Below is the schedule for the entire United States. It will be streamed live on the official PlayStation YouTube channel.

More video game events in 2024
Sony has been one of the latest to confirm its presence at the time of year that gamers have dubbed as not E3 2024, but which is officially known as Summer Game Fest, as it is the equivalent of the defunct trade show and video game companies star in a week full of events and announcements. They are as follows:
- Summer Game Fest 2024 - June 7 at 4:00 pm ET
- Xbox Games Showcase 2024 - June 9 at 1:00 pm ET
- PC Gaming Show 2024 - June 9 at 4:00 pm ET
- Ubisoft Forward 2024 - June 10 in the afternoon (time to be confirmed)
There are also other conferences that, although small, give us a glimpse of what the future of video games will be for years to come.
