Star Wars

New ‘The Mandalorian & Grogu’ concept art teases exciting Star Wars flashbacks

The upcoming feature film ‘The Mandalorian & Grogu’ is set to be released in place of a fourth season of the show, with plans to premiere on May 22, 2026.

Star Wars The Mandalorian & Grogu

Din Djarin and Grogu will live their next adventure on the big screen. The heroes of the ‘Star Wars’ spinoff series will star in ‘The Mandalorian & Grogu’, a film that will feature Sigourney Weaver in a role that has not yet been revealed. The star of ‘Alien’ and ‘Ghostbusters’, among many other feature films, has confirmed that she is already filming her part and that she has already met little Grogu. Although there is still a lot of time before its premiere, the first details about the film have emerged and two new concept arts have been revealed, which hint at a possible sequence in the past.

Mandalore and the first Mandalorian Jedi

Melany Maximus is the author of a concept image that shows a Mandalorian in a jungle environment. On the left side, you can see a waterfall and a pile of rocks. Everything seems to indicate that this is Mandalore before the Galactic Empire used its weapons and destroyed almost all natural areas during the Night of a Thousand Tears. At the time of ‘The Mandalorian’—after ‘Return of the Jedi’—, The Mandalorians’ home planet is already barren land. Still, as shown in season 3, life is still possible on Mandalore. The dream of recovering it is still alive.

The second concept art features a Mandalorian with the Darksaber in his hands. His identity has not been revealed, but the design of the helmet suggests that he may be Tarre Vizsla, the first Mandalorian Jedi. His lightsaber was passed down from generation to generation as an instrument of power.: He who possesses it and wins it in combat is worthy of leading his people. In a way, it replaces Mandalore’s mask from the Expanded Universe.

‘The Mandalorian & Grogu’ will premiere on May 22, 2026. The film replaces the fourth season of the show, which was affected by the Hollywood strikes. In the film, the protagonists will carry out missions for the New Republic.
