Marvel
‘New Thunderbolts’ brings together the best cast in the group’s history to coincide with the MCU movie
The Hulk, the Winter Soldier, and Black Widow will be among the members of this new Thunderbolts line-up.

For some time now, Marvel Comics has been adapting to what the MCU dictates and not the other way around. So, as it could not be otherwise, the theatrical release of ‘Thunderbolts’ will entail a new open series of this group in the comics. Called ‘New Thunderbolts’, it will kick off on June 11 with a cast of members that is undoubtedly the most charismatic in the history of the group, including former members of The Avengers.
The series starts with the discovery by the Winter Soldier and Black Widow (Natasha Romanoff) of a threat from clones of the Illuminati, with which they will gather a group of misfits to face them, but that would make anyone tremble, and is that both will team up with Carnage (Eddie Brock), Hulk, Wolverine (Laura Kinney), Clea, and Namor. Bunch of nobodies, right?
In charge of the script will be Sam Humphries (‘Legendary Star-Lord’, ‘Weirdworld’), who has confessed to being “thrilled to continue the franchise’s proud tradition of hard-hitting action, explosive personalities, and explosive surprises in a new era”. Meanwhile, Ton Lima (‘Avengers: West Coast’) will be penciling. There is still no publication date in Spain, although it is to be expected that Panini will bring it to us with not much difference with respect to the United States.
Yelena Belova leads the Thunderbolts in the movies
Meanwhile, the movie ‘Thunderbolts’ will be released in theaters on May 2 with a fantastic cast leading this misunderstood group. After making her debut in ‘Black Widow’, Florence Pugh returns as Yelena Belova, forming a group with the aforementioned Winter Soldier (Sebastian Stan), U.S. Agent (Wyatt Russell), and Red Guardian (David Harbour). It will also mark the UCM debut of Sentry, one of the most powerful characters in the entire Marvel Universe, a role that was initially planned for Steven Yeun (Glenn in ‘The Walking Dead’), and that will finally be played by Lewis Pullman (‘Top Gun: Maverick’).
