NHL 24: release date, early access, platforms, and all editions

October 10th seems far away. That’s a long time for the upcoming hockey season, but video games have always got things covered. A new EA Sports game under the NHL franchise is on the horizon with NHL 24, in this article we will take a look at when we can expect this game to be available, as well as its editions.

NHL 24 release date

As announced a few weeks ago, NHL 24 is coming to Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 on October 6th. If you’re hoping for a PC or Nintendo Switch version of NHL 24, don’t wait too long, as it’s been a couple of decades since the last PC or Nintendo platform saw a title in the franchise.

How many editions of NHL 24 will be available?

NHL 24, like other EA Sports titles such as Madden NFL or the rebranded EA Sports FC, will have two editions, a Standard Edition and a Deluxe Edition (labeled as the X-Factor Edition). The former will arrive with a price tag of $59.99 on Xbox One and PlayStation 4, while Xbox Series X and PlayStation 5 will be at $69.99, while the Deluxe Edition comes at $99.99. Will there be early access to NHL 24?

As with other EA Sports titles, there are two ways to get early access to NHL 24. First, as mentioned above, those who pre-order the X-Factor Edition will get 3 days of early access and will be able to play starting October 3, 2023. The second option is through an EA Play or Xbox Game Pass Ultimate membership, although this one comes with a twist as the early access will only grant a 10-hour trial of the game.

Is NHL 24 coming to Xbox Game Pass?

NHL 24 will not be included in the Xbox Game Pass library, at least there’s no information on that. However, EA Sports games usually make it to the service. Last year’s NHL 23 was added to EA Play & Xbox Game Pass in April 2023.
