Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II and Warzone present their new season in style, celebrating 50 years of hip-hop. As we mentioned a few days ago, from August 2, Call of Duty Season 5 will receive among its new features 4 new maps, new game modes, more characters and, above all, the stellar appearance of Nicki Minaj, Snoop Dogg and Savage 21. They will not be the only news, because during this season will be announced the next title in the series, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III.

Celebrating 50 Years of Hip-Hop Culture

Hip-hop and the culture that surrounds it seem to be the common thread for this new season of Call of Duty, so along with the maps and game modes we can get new controllable operators inspired by great figures of hip-hop. At the moment, Activision has revealed the models of the Trinidadian rapper Nicki Minaj, who previously collaborated with the franchise in a promotional video. Along with the Super Bass singer will come another of the great rappers of history, Snoop Dogg, who has also revealed his model and who, like Nicki Minaj, previously collaborated with the title, in his case lending his voice to the game.

They won’t be the only ones, as Activision has also announced Savage 21 as a controllable operator, although we’ll have to wait to see what the rapper looks like in the game, as the only promotional image that has been revealed is a shadow.

A meteor shower

We still don’t know what other rappers and hip-hop celebrities are coming in this new season. What we do know is that Activision has gone all out to introduce famous faces in their games, very much in the Fortnite style. In Season 4, we already saw stars such as Neymar or Messi, as well as the event of The Boys, where the characters of the Prime Video series were seen in the world of Call of Duty.
