Nintendo Direct 6.21.21 summary: Everything Announced

Summer Game Fest ended last week and all in all, we had great presentations from many of the major developers and publishers, but someone had been missing. Nintendo as always takes things at its own pace and for 40 minutes was presenting us much of what will come to the Nintendo Switch during this 2023. Many surprises and emotions.

These are all the announcements of The Nintendo Direct 6.21.21:

Pokémon Scarlet & Violet - The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero

We begin with a first look at the Pokémon Scarlet & Violet DLC, which shows us new areas, characters and activities in The Teal Mask and The Indigo Disk. After this Nintendo Direct, there will be a special event for this game.

Sonic Superstars

This new Sonic title shows off the abilities that each of the characters will have in this game.

Palia

Build the life of your dreams with players from all over the world in this simulator where you can discover the mysteries of this world - Palia will be free to play and will arrive in Holidays 2023.

Persona 5 Tactica

More details on this tactical spin-off from Persona 5 will be revealed, with pre-orders starting today and release on November 17th.

MythForce

This first-person game is inspired by Saturday morning cartoons, where we will have to eliminate hordes of enemy monsters in this high fantasy environment. Mythforce will be available later this year.

Splatoon 3 - Splatfest

A new Splatfest for Splatoon 3 is announced with the theme of what is the favorite ice cream. It was also announced that new events will be announced.

Detective Pikachu Returns

Pokémon’s best detective is back and coming to Nintendo Switch on October 6, 2023.

Super Mario RPG

This morning’s big surprise. The RPG originally released for Super Nintendo will arrive in this remake on November 17, 2023.

Peach Untitled Game

After many years, Peach will once again be the protagonist of an as-yet-untitled game about which there are few details and which will be released next year.

Luigi’s Mansion Dark Moon

An enhanced version of the title for 3DS was announced and will arrive next year.

Batman Arkham Trilogy

The Batman Arkham trilogy is coming to Nintendo Switch with Arkham Assylum, Arkham City and Arkham Knight with all their DLC. It will arrive this fall.

Gloomhaven

Take your mercenaries through dungeons in this mix of turn-based and card games. Gloomhaven will be released on September 18th.

Just Dance 2024

A short trailer with the songs that will be released in this edition on October 24th.

Silent Hope

7 warriors will join together in this action RPG with changing dungeons to face monsters. Silent Hope will be released on October 3rd.

Fae Farm

This mix of sim farm and RPG is making a comeback ahead of its release on September 8th.

Hot Wheels Unleashed 2

The little plastic cars and tracks will be back on October 19th.

Manic Mechanics

Like a kind of Overcooked, but with car mechanics, avoid traps and fix cars this July 13.

Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope DLC

A second DLC will show us a musical world with new areas and enemies to face. This DLC will be released today.

Dragon Quest Monsters: The Dark Prince

Combine monsters from the Dragon Quest franchise to help you on your quest and become a master of Monsterkind. This title is scheduled for release on December 1, 2023.

Pikmin 4

A new look at Pikmin 4, showing off the new mechanics and game modes this title will feature, as well as the scenarios and areas to explore. Pikmin 4 will be released on July 21, 2023. A demo will be available on June 28th.

Pikmin 1 and 2 HD

HD versions of the first titles are available today on the Nintendo eShop.

Metal Gear Solid Master Collection Vol 1

The collection of the first 3 Metal Gear Solid games is coming to Nintendo Switch. Metal Gear and Metal Gear 2 Solid Snake will be released as part of this collection. The collection will be released on October 24, 2023. The games will also be available individually.

Vampire Survivors

Vampire Survivors is coming to Nintendo Switch with the option of couch co-op. The title will be released on August 17.

Headbangers Rythm Royale

A musical battle royale with pigeons with a total of 20 mini-games where rhythm will be key. It will arrive on October 31.

Penny’s Big Breakaway

In this 3D platform game from the creators of Sonic Mania, we will discover a colorful world where we will use a yo-yo as part of our arsenal. The title will be released in early 2024.

Mario Kart 8 Deluxe - Booster Course Pass Wave 5

Wave 5 of the Booster Course Pass is introduced, with 3 new characters and 8 new tracks. This Wave 5 will be available in the summer of 2023.

Star Ocean The Second Story R

Mixing 2D and 3D graphics, we have this remake of the classic Star Ocean. The title will arrive on November 2, 2023.

Wario Ware Move It

Featuring over 200 mini-games, the Wario Ware franchise is back to keep gamers on their toes this November 3.

The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom amiibos

In addition to thanking players who are enjoying Tears of the Kingdom, new Zelda and Ganondorf amiibo were announced to be released in Holiday 2023.

Super Mario Bros. Wonder

The rumors were true and a new 2D Super Mario was announced with a new visual style and the continuation of 4-player co-op. Super Mario Bros. Wonder will be released on October 20, 2023.
