We expected to see something related to the plumber in the Nintendo Direct that just took place and boy did we get our wish granted: Super Mario RPG Remake! A renewed version of the classic that first appeared on the Super Nintendo back in 1996 with an impressive graphical leap that will arrive on November 17, 2023 for Nintendo Switch. Don’t miss the trailer.

The SNES classic is back with not only an updated look that we now know showcases the newest designs of the Super Mario Bros. cast but also a fully orchestrated soundtrack that brings all of the nostalgic tunes of the original game to life in all of its jazzy, fantastic goodness.

Upcoming exclusive releases on Nintendo Switch

Although only a few weeks have passed since the launch of the highly anticipated The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, the Nintendo console has a lot to in the coming months.

  • Pikmin 4 is one of the most anticipated titles, since it is a much-loved saga that was born on the Nintendo Gamecube, a platform on which it had a sequel, continued on the Wii U and now, this July 21, will appear for the first time on Nintendo Switch.
  • Baten Kaitos I & II HD will offer us the chance to enjoy once again —or discover for the first time— a very special JRPG saga both for its unmistakable art direction and for its turn-based and card-based combat system. The pack includes Baten Kaitos: Eternal Wings and the Lost Ocean and Baten Kaitos Origins, its prequel. Both have graphical and quality of life improvements. It arrives on September 14, 2023.
  • Detective Pikachu 2 is another highly anticipated title among Pokémon fans. After a first installment for Nintendo 3DS and the success of the film, the sequel in which the charismatic Pokémon acting as a detective is part of the list of games we hope to see on Nintendo Switch when it releases on October 6.
  • Hogwarts Legacy is not an exclusive, but we know that there are millions of Harry Potter fans and it is worth remembering that Nintendo Switch is the only console that does not have a version of the game. After summer we will have it in the Nintendo hybrid. Specifically, on November 14th.
