When is the June 2024 Nintendo Direct: what time is it and how to watch the event

Nintendo announces a new 40-minute Direct focused on details and news about all the upcoming games coming out on Switch in the next few months.

Summer Game Fest is over, and as in previous years, Nintendo decided to skip the event to be all alone and hold its own. Nintendo has just confirmed a new Direct. You know, one of those streamings in which the company presents all kinds of games and news. This time it’s from one day to another and this new Nintendo Direct will be this June 18th at 10:00 AM ET. The official social media of the company confirms that it will last 40 minutes and anticipates that it will be “focused on Nintendo Switch games coming in the second half of 2024.″ It’s important to clarify that the Japanese company states that “there will be no mention of the Nintendo Switch successor during this presentation,” so you’ll better lower your expectations.

How to watch live the Nintendo Direct on June 18

The new Nintendo Direct can be followed through Nintendo of America’s YouTube channel. As usual, in MeriStation we will also cover the event and if you miss it (or just want to know the most significant), relax because at the end of the streaming, we will have several summaries, news, impressions, reports, and texts about what was announced.

What to expect from this Nintendo Direct?

At this point in the life of the Nintendo Switch, everything that comes out is a real surprise. We should remember that the June Nintendo Direct, which corresponded to the E3 presentations, was full of first-party games with the company’s big names. We can expect more details on Luigi’s Mansion 2 HD, which will be released next week and was one of the announced games we were still waiting to see for the Nintendo Switch this summer. For the rest of the event, we should remind that no information about the Nintendo Switch successor will be shown.
