Nintendo issues this warning about the Switch 2’s screen to all its buyers

Nintendo’s upcoming console’s safety manual reveals interesting details about its screen and battery.

Update:

The Nintendo Switch 2 is just a few days away, and excitement for the console is palpable. In anticipation of its arrival, Nintendo of Europe has released a Health and Safety Information guide for the upcoming console, which is now available for download. Interestingly, the document reveals a bit more information about the console’s display.

As reported by NintendoSoup, the manual includes within its Careful Usage section a mention of the screen and a protective film layer: “The screen is covered with a film layer designed to prevent fragments scattering in the event of damage. Do not peel it off.” In other words, the Nintendo Switch 2 screen already comes with a cover that protects the screen, and removing it could potentially damage the console screen itself. It is worth mentioning that it is not the first time that a Nintendo console comes with this type of film layer, being that the Nintendo Switch OLED also already had it.

Among other recommendations, it is worth highlighting the following about the battery. “Make sure to charge the built-in batteries at least once every six months,” Nintendo also cautions. “If the batteries are not used for an extended period of time, it may become impossible to charge them.”

A new generation from Nintendo

The Nintendo Switch 2 will be arriving this Thursday, June 5, marking a new cycle of Nintendo consoles. Despite this excitement, with people camping outside stores to get their old-school pre-sale, Nintendo has a very conservative forecast for sales of this console, expecting a very similar result to the first Switch.
