The public is so eager for the Nintendo Switch 2 that they are setting up camps outside stores

Fans camped out in California to be the first to pre-order the coveted Nintendo Switch 2.

In an age where everything is digital and you can get your products from the comfort of your own home, the idea of going to a store seems like a thing of the past. The upcoming release of the Nintendo Switch 2 has proven to be a success in online sales in both the United States and Japan with its pre-order system, but there is still a group of fans who like to do things the old-fashioned way.

It’s not the first time, and there are sure to be many more, but there’s nothing like seeing people camped out outside a store to be among the first to get their hands on a console, or in this case, to make sure their pre-order gets in without a hitch. Just like this group of fans in Orange County, California, who are already lining up and preparing for a wait of just over a month to be among the first to get their hands on Nintendo’s next console.

In the Reddit post, users offer words of support to those already in line. “Godspeed, you beautiful bastards,” one user writes. While others ask how many people are there so they can go: “how is the line now was thinking of going over to pre order at this gamestop since i am close.”

Nintendo Switch 2, a highly anticipated console

Despite being one of the most expensive consoles in Nintendo’s history (taking inflation into account), it seems that this has not stopped people from wanting to get a Nintendo Switch 2. For now, it seems that the console is sold out in several stores. With just over a month to go, it wouldn’t be surprising to see more pre-order windows open up for other interested parties.
