Oakley Meta Glasses are a reality, new version coming soon

Meta takes another step forward in the development of smart eyewear with the announcement of a new collaboration that redefines the concept of performance eyewear. Through a post on its official blog, Meta and Oakley have unveiled a partnership that seeks to create a new category of artificial intelligence-powered eyewear: the Oakley Meta Glasses.

A New Line of META Glasses on the Way

The first model in this collaboration is the Oakley Meta HSTN, which combines Oakley’s sporty design with Meta’s technological capabilities. Like the company’s previous models, these glasses allow you to capture photos and videos hands-free thanks to an integrated camera. They also include speakers in the frames for listening to music and are IPX4 water-resistant, making them suitable for extreme weather or intense workouts.

The camera can record Ultra HD (3K) video, and the battery promises up to 8 hours of continuous use and 19 hours in standby mode.

One of the most important new features is the integration of Meta AI, the company’s artificial intelligence assistant, which will allow users—especially athletes—to access useful information directly from their glasses without the need to use another device.

How much will the Oakley Meta HSTN cost, and when will they be available?

The Oakley Meta HSTN Limited Edition will be available for pre-order starting July 11 for $499. The rest of the collection will have a starting price of $399 and will be released later this summer.

In a first phase, the glasses will be sold in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Ireland, France, Italy, Spain, Austria, Belgium, Australia, Germany, Sweden, Norway, Finland, and Denmark. Meta also confirmed that it plans to expand availability to Mexico, India, and the United Arab Emirates later this year.
