One of the big stars of ‘Thunderbolts*’ is set to have a major role in ‘Spider-Man: Brand New Day’
Spider-Man: Brand New Day will be released in the summer of 2026.

Like any MCU film worth its salt, ‘Spider-Man: Brand New Day’ will feature a host of guest stars. With John Bernthal (Punisher), Mark Ruffalo (Hulk), and Sadie Sink (in a role yet to be confirmed) already confirmed, a rumor has now emerged that, as the hours pass, is beginning to be taken as fact. According to insider Daniel Richtman, who is usually spot on when it comes to superhero matters, the next star to join the film’s cast will be none other than Florence Pugh as Yelena Belova.
Everything points to Belova playing a key role in ‘Avengers: Doomsday,’ so it makes perfect sense that Marvel Studios would want to give her a role in a more important film than Thunderbolts*. A few years ago, Tom Holland showed some interest in our friend and neighbor teaming up with Black Widow, when it was already known that Pugh would succeed Scarlett Johansson. Later, the actress herself said she was literally “desperate” to join Spider-Man.

It seems that the dangers Spider-Man will face will force Peter Parker to ask the leader of the New Avengers for help.
When will Spider-Man: Brand New Day be released?
There is still almost a year to go before the release of Spider-Man: Brand New Day, but the exact date is already known: it will be July 31, 2026. Joining Tom Holland will be Zendaya and Jacob Batalon, as well as the aforementioned Bernthal, Ruffalo, and Sink. Directing the film is Daniel Cretton, who already has experience in the MCU with ‘Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings.’
