One Piece Anime Shows the Fearsome Power of a Member of Kurohige's Gang

Van Augur and his power as a sniper smashes a powerful character.

one piece

The latest episode of ‘One Piece’ has shown us the potential of a villain we have known for decades, but have never seen in action on this level. The anime has expanded on what was just a mini-story in the manga, giving us a much more direct look at the havoc Blackbeard’s pirates are wreaking on Whole Cake Island. In the sequence, we see Van Augur, Kurohige’s sniper, destroying one by one the cookie soldiers of Charlotte Cracker, one of the three sweet commanders of Big Mom’s pirates, with a bounty of 860 million berries, who got Luffy into trouble with his cookie soldiers, whom Van Augur destroys like they were nothing.

In the end, the figure of Kuzan, also known as Aokiji, completely freezes Charlotte Cracker and lets us see the terrible situation facing the whole of Cake Island. One of the major threats to the Straw Hat Pirates in the future will be the Kurohige Gang, and we gradually learn more about the enormous power of its members.

‘One Piece’ and the power of Blackbeard’s Pirates

They have been with us for a long time, but we know very little about some of the most prominent members of Blackbeard’s Pirates. Van Augur is one of them from the very first moment, a mysterious sharpshooter who, thanks to the anime and by bringing to life what was just a mini-story in the manga, we have seen the terrible enemy that, everything points to, the Mugiwara will end up facing.

All signs point to the fact that Van Augur’s future rival will be Usopp, as both of them stand out as shooters, but considering the current power of Kurohige’s Nakama, we should expect an outstanding power-up for Usopp, which he might get in Elbaf. The legendary island points to the next arc of the series, a place the Mugiwara shooter has been dreaming of since the beginning of the adventure, and where we can think of one of the possibilities is having the most advanced observation haki in the entire series. What if his famous lies were really omens? This is where the character can grow and gain the necessary strength to defeat a Van Augur in the future who has shown us how terrifying he can be.
