‘One Piece’ confirms anime will take a break until April 2025 and will be replaced by a remastered version

Eiichiro Oda’s anime takes a long break to avoid catching up with the manga.

one piece

This Sunday, October 13, a live broadcast was announced with news about ‘One Piece’, the popular work of Eiichiro Oda. Finally, these news are multiple, but the most prominent is the hiatus that the anime will take until April 2025, a half-year break that is necessary to move away from the manga, in an animated adaptation that has not stopped approaching the point where the manga is currently.

These six months will not only serve to widen the gap between the anime and the manga and give the animation production much more breathing space, but will also increase its quality both in animation and in the length of some chapters, which will be able to develop many more events without fear of catching up with the manga. The question that many are asking is, how will the gap of the One Piece anime be filled during all these months? With a remastered version of the Gyojin Island saga.

A necessary break in ‘One Piece’ that comes with a remaster

One Piece will offer a remastered version of the Gyojin Island saga, which will have a total length of 21 episodes, greatly shortening the 58 episodes of the original version. This new adaptation of Gyojin Island will feature remastered footage, Wano arc-style visual filters, One Pace-style condensed episodes, Dolby dubbing and will begin airing on October 27th.

Although the Gyojin Island arc is not the most popular saga in Eiichiro Oda’s oeuvre, it is a gateway after the time jump that will be presented to all viewers in the best possible way in this remastered version.
