‘One Piece’ reveals the 20 strongest characters of the series according to Japanese fans
A Japanese poll with more than 30,000 votes has helped to choose the 20 strongest pirates of the manga and anime according to the public (and to make a list full of surprises, absences and controversies).

Gol D. Roger
It couldn't be any other way. The former king of pirates tops the list and shows why he had a bounty of 5,564,800,000 berries.
Edward Newgate (Whitebeard)
In second place was the so-called strongest man in the world, Barbablanca, whose reward went up to 5,046,000,000 berries. In the Marineford War he showed his power and was the great rival of the Pirate King for a reason.
Shanks
The mythical Shanks, Luffy's reference, from whom Luffy got his straw hat. He is currently the living pirate with the highest bounty on his head, 4,048,900,000 berries.
Dracule Mihawk
Underrated? Fraud? The greatest swordsman in history has moved to fourth place in the poll after it was announced in the anime and manga that his wanted poster is 3,590,000,000,000,000 berries.
Monkey D. Garp
Luffy's grandfather, a marine legend, is the first "non-pirate" on the list, and after the latest developments in the manga, we doubt anyone can doubt it.
Silvers Rayleigh
The Dark King, the Pirate King's right hand man and Luffy's mentor.

After Gear 5 and his battle with Kaido, no one doubts the strength of the future Pirate King and new Emperor of the Sea.
Roronoa Zoro
The Pirate Hunter proves the number of fans behind it and sneaks into the top 10.
Kaido
Although the King of the Beasts has always been considered the most powerful creature of the Grand Line, the result of his fight with Luffy has pushed him down the list. But if you think his position is unfair, wait until you see the absence of Big Mom...
Monkey D. Dragon
The supreme commander of the Revolutionary Army and Luffy's father, despite his few appearances in the series, rounds out the top ten.
Akainu
Oda has always let it be known that Akainu would be in the top 3 for him in terms of strength, but the Admiral of the Marine HQ Fleet does not have that much public support and falls to eleventh place.
Benn Beckman
If Gol D. Roger and Luffy have their second-in-command on the list, Shanks should be no less. Beckman has even been seen with admirals and has been able to intimidate them into doubting him.
Aokiji
Kuzan's arc turns out to be one of the most interesting in the series. Is he from the Marines? From Blackbeard's crew? What is his true motivation, his interest? Whatever the case, Garp's student deserves to be here.
Sengoku
If he was Admiral of the Navy, it was for a reason. At Marineford he could have done more, but his interventions made his rank and strength clear, and his memory still lingers in this type of poll.
King
One of Kaido's wings and the first Lunarian of the series, King left us with one of Wano's best fights, flashback included.
Kizaru
It's surprising to see Kizaru so low after his performance in Sabaody, where he single-handedly dispatched the Worst Generation, but of course we'll see who you drop to move him up....
Shiki
An unexpected name. The Flying Pirate, helmsman of the Golden Lion Pirates, only appeared in Chapter 0 and the movie Strong World, but he made an impression and left his mark on the fans.
Fujitora
And another admiral. No, not because the Marine Corps is not strong enough. Fujitora, the blind swordsman, can summon meteors and alter gravity, making him a formidable opponent for anyone.
Rocks D. Xebec
Little is known about Xebec, but many of us are waiting for a flashback that will bring justice to the captain of a gang that included Whitebeard, Big Mom, Kaido, or Shiki, almost all of whom are present on this list. When we have it, we have no doubt that in the future it will climb positions like foam.
Kozuki Oden
And we finish with the village shogun, the hero of Wano, a swordsman capable of handling Kaido, and a member of the crews of Whitebeard and Gol D. Roger, almost nothing. A perfect end to the list.
