Difficulty is a very important element in video games, as it is the level of challenge a title presents when it comes to the player’s enjoyment of the experience. It is also a recurring topic of debate, as many users feel that all games should have a difficulty selector - or an easy mode, as some players create through mods - while others prefer that each developer implement whatever they feel is necessary.

Companies are working more and more every day to offer highly customizable experiences, as in the case of Sony and its commitment to real-time hints and guides, designed for PS5 with the intention of helping players who are stuck or need a detailed explanation when it comes to unlocking a particular trophy. Well, today we learned that the Japanese company is planning to go one step further.

Automatic difficulty for each player

This is an ambitious dynamic difficulty system capable of analyzing how each person plays and adjusting various parameters to provide a satisfactory experience. The most interesting thing is that the patent is not limited to the usual elements such as a difficulty selector divided into easy, normal, or hard levels, but goes much further and even refers to the rate of respawning of enemies, the health, and strength of the character and even the movement speed of both. We’ll have to wait and see if it comes to PS5, or PS6, or if it remains in the pipeline...

PS5 Slim arrives

It is not its name as such, but it is the small model of the PS5, both for the version with a reader and the digital one. It is lighter, its dimensions are reduced and it is possible to undock and attach the disc reader as a separate accessory. In this link, you can read all the details.
