Excellent Opportunity in Pokémon GO Event: Dates, Times, and How to Participate

The An Excellent Opportunity event in Pokémon GO will run from Monday, April 1, 2024, from 12:00 a.m. to 11:59 p.m. local time.

This is a free event for all players, so there is nothing to do but log in while it is active. The event will focus on throws.

An Excellent Opportunity event bonus in Pokémon GO

The following bonuses will be active during the An Excellent Opportunity event in Pokémon GO:

  • Nice and Great Throws will count as Excellent Throws

An Excellent Opportunity Field Research task encounters

The following Event-themed Field Research tasks will be available:

  • Make 3 Nice Throws in a Row
  • Make 3 Great Ball Throws  in a Row
  • Make 3 Great Throws  in a Row
  • Make 3 Excellent Throws

Trainers may encounter Spinda in various patterns for completing these tasks! And sure, this Pokémon can be shiny.

An Excellent Opportunity Event Themed Timed Research

Timed Research focused on catching Pokémon will be available throughout the event!

  • Make 15 Nice Throws
  • Make 10 Great Throws
  • Make 5 Excellent Throws
  • Make 25 Nice Throws in a Row
  • Make 25 Great Throws in a Row
  • Make 25 Excellent Throws in a row

As you can see, this is an extremely easy event, with all Nice and Great Throws counting as Excellent, making it a rapid event to complete. For now, keep an eye out for the Wild Pokémon that appear, because if you see one that looks like your Buddy Pokémon, it could be Zorua trying to play a joke on you.
