Pokémon GO introduces a new season of Adventures Abound, with new Pokémon, events and more
Niantic reveals the first details of Pokémon GO’s new season, Adventures Abound, bringing new Pokémon and events.
Pokémon GO is about to enter its twelfth season, Adventures Abound, with new events, research, and the Pokémon of the Paldea region available this Friday, September 1.
Paldea Comes to Pokémon GO
As announced at Pokémon Presents in early August, the Paldea Pokémon introduced in Pokémon Scarlet & Violet are making their debut in Pokémon GO. Although we’ve only seen Sprigatito, Fuecoco and Quaxly in the teaser video, the Pokémon GO social media accounts have given us a glimpse of their evolution. These Pokémon will start appearing in the game on September 5th, 2023.
Raids and New Features
Some of the new features introduced last season will be even more prominent in Adventures Abound. Shadow Raids will continue to have a daily presence, with five-star raids in this category on Saturdays and Sundays, and Shadow Zapdos making an appearance. On the other hand, the Routes feature will continue to be available for trainers to plot their paths and allow others to follow in their footsteps.
New Special Research
A new season means a new Special Research, and this time there will be one available from September 5th at 10:00 am until December 1st, 2023 at 9:59 am (local time). This Research will feature branching paths that will continue to tell a new story for the game’s trainers.
At the same time, Adventures Abound will allow us to get our hands on the Master Ball again. This will be available through a timed research that will end on November 21st.
Adventures Abound Community Days
The Community Days calendar is now available, and it includes the dates for other special events this season, including the Pokémon GO City Safari in Seoul, Barcelona and Mexico City.
