The hit Niantic title begins its seventh anniversary on July 6, adding a whole bunch of bonuses for extras and celebrations of everything that’s come before.

Pokémon GO

In 2016 the internet was filled with quirky news about Pokémon Go. That a Koffing had appeared in a controversial place, that someone had stumbled while trying to capture a creature, that a person had fallen off a cliff for not taking their eyes off their mobile screen... seven years afterward, those kinds of news have disappeared. Still, the game is more present than ever. The Pokémon Company and Niantic have shared a series of curious facts to celebrate their anniversary.

7 years in a game like Pokémon Go goes a long way. The title has received multiple new features and has been constantly renewed. In all this time, players have fought thousands and thousands of battles and raids, hunted millions of Pokémon, and traded more creatures than anyone could imagine.
