Pokémon World Championships 2025 reveals official artwork and confirms date

The road to the 2025 Pokémon World Championships continues. A few months ago, we were in Brazil for the Pokémon Latin America International Championships, and this weekend, we were at the Europe International Championships, where we got a first look at what to expect at the competition this August.

2025 Pokémon World Championships revealed with first details

During the Pokémon Europe International Championships, the first details were revealed about the tournament, which will take place August 15-17 at the Anaheim Convention Center in Anaheim, California. An official video revealed that Pokémon Scarlet & Violet, Pokémon TCG, Pokémon GO and Pokémon Unite will still be part of the official tournament competition. For their part, spectators can expect to be able to register in March, as well as a number of special activities throughout the tournament.

Road to Worlds returns

Along with information about the World Championships in Anaheim, the return of the ‘Road to Worlds’ series in March 2025 was confirmed. This time, the mini-documentary will focus on the video game competitors, following Wolfe Glick, Rosemary Kelley, Lou Akcoş-Cromie, and Markus Stadter as they compete at the 2024 Pokémon World Championships in Honolulu, Hawaii.

While it’s still too early to know all the details about the Pokémon World Championships 2025, we may get a sneak peek this Thursday during Pokémon Presents, where news about the future of the franchise on its 29th anniversary will be revealed.
