What happened to Genetic Apex in Pokémon TCG Pocket? How do I get back to the original Booster Pack?
The launch of Space-Time Smackdown brought some changes to the popular game, but can you go back to choosing Genetic Apex Booster Packs?
The new Pokémon TCG Pocket update, Space-Time Smackdown, brings us a new collection of boosters inspired by the Sinnoh region, with Dialga and Palkia as its flagship Pokémon. However, their arrival may catch players' attention, as the first expansion, Genetic Apex, will no longer appear in the main menu, just these and the Mythical Island booster. But can you still get back to the original expansion? Here we show you.
Can Genetic Apex be accessed again in Pokémon TCG Pocket?
The short answer is yes, although it is not a very obvious process. It was previously announced that there would be no changes to the previous expansions with this new expansion, so you can add to your collection by opening packs of both Genetic Apex and Mythical Island.
Pokémon TCG Pocket has a not so great menu system that sometimes requires you to complete a route to see options and rewards within the game, and this is no exception. To continue trying to get the cards from the original expansion, you need to do the following:
- From the main menu, select one of the Booster Packs that appear on the screen.
- Once selected, check the bottom left corner and go to Select Other Booster Packs.
- Once selected, you will be given the option to Select Expansion, where you will find the Genetic Apex Boosters at the bottom.
- Select these and you will have access to the first booster packs in the game.
