Prime Video’s ‘Fallout’ adds Aaron Paul as a new cast member for the upcoming third season

The actor reunites with Jonathan Nolan for a mystery role in the next chapter of the adaptation.

Update:

The wasteland of ‘Fallout’ is set to expand even further in this third season. Prime Video’s adaptation has announced a new addition to the cast, with Aaron Paul joining the series for the upcoming season.

The official Fallout account on X (formerly Twitter) announced that the actor known for his role as Jesse Pinkman in ‘Breaking Bad’ will be making a new appearance in the world of video games in an as-yet-unannounced role in the third season of the Bethesda video game adaptation.

Aaron Paul’s arrival on ‘Fallout’ shouldn’t come as a surprise, since this isn’t the first time the actor has worked with executive producer Jonathan Nolan. As Deadline notes, Nolan and Paul worked together on ‘Westworld’ during its final season, so they already know how to work together.

The Future of the Wasteland

Season 2 of Fallout took us to New Vegas, on a journey through the past and present of this post-apocalyptic world where we learned more about Vault-Tec’s history, the genius Robert House, and everything that led to the detonation of the bombs that forced the world to live in the Vaults. The finale left us with a cliffhanger regarding what will happen among the region’s major factions—the New California Republic, the Brotherhood of Steel, and Caesar’s Legion—so Aaron Paul could end up joining any one of them.

It’s worth noting that among the big names who were part of the cast last season were Macaulay Culkin and Kumail Nanjiani, although so far they’ve only appeared in cameo roles; even though their appearances were brief, they had a major impact on the story.
