Prime Video’s ‘Fallout’ shows off a terrifying encounter between a vault dweller and a ghoul

‘Fallout’, the live-action adaptation of the legendary post-apocalyptic RPG series published by Bethesda, shows off what it’s got in this newly revealed scene.

You leave Vault 101, grab a 10mm pistol, and head to the first abandoned settlement. In the distance you see a very mean-looking man walking. He doesn’t look human. He turns around and while you point the gun at him he asks who you are. He has no skin or nose. His eyes are the only vestige of humanity he has left. It’s not a monster: it’s a ghoul.

The moment Lucy (Ella Purnell) faces in Prime Video’s ‘Fallout’ is very similar to what hundreds of thousands of players experienced in Fallout 3. The production company has shared one of the first scenes that will be seen in the series, whose premiere is expected on April 11. Innocent and following the Overseer’s manual to the letter, shortly after meeting The Ghoul (Walton Goggins) she will understand that life in the Wasteland is based on survival of the fittest. Because everyone wanted to pull the trigger the first time they were called “Smooth Skin” in the game.

‘Fallout’, the Prime Video series that adds to the video game universe

The series, which adapts the universe to tell a new story from the Wasteland, has a unique protagonist trio. The two mentioned are joined by Max (Aaron Moten), a staunch defender of the Brotherhood of Steel. In fact, during the scene, we can see one of their persuasive power armors come to the young woman’s rescue. And the situation of this portrait of post-apocalyptic Los Angeles is on the brink of war between the factions that militate on the surface.

Fallout’s tone as an IP remains present. The material shown so far walks the same fine line between comedy and drama. We have the least skilled character surviving versus the person who knew what life was like before nuclear fallout. Shrill faces and a storm of bullets are the ingredients that add up to a proposal that targets both followers and neophytes of the saga.
