Warhorse Studios

Real locations are compared to those seen in Kingdom Come Deliverance II and the result surprises everyone

Days go by since the release of this jewel from Warhorse Studios and the result continues to surprise.

Kingdom Come Deliverance 2

The long-awaited video game Kingdom Come Deliverance II has amazed everyone not only for its immersive story, but also for the great recreation of real scenarios of medieval Europe. Comparisons such as those made by ElAnalistadeBits show the degree of fidelity achieved, juxtaposing places from the game with their current counterparts, with spectacular results in some cases.

The developers at Warhorse Studios have emphasized their commitment to historical accuracy on numerous occasions, and this is reflected in the architecture, landscapes, and even the small details of everyday life that can be seen in the game. The first Kingdom Come already achieved a very high level of credibility in the way the world was translated, both externally and internally, as well as in every element surrounding Henry’s experience and life journey, elements that have been taken to new heights in the sequel.

How did they achieve such a detailed recreation?

The development team conducted extensive research, traveling to the original locations in today’s Czechia to capture every detail. Using photogrammetry and 3D scanning technology, they were able to translate the essence of medieval castles, villages, and forests into the digital world with stunning realism. “We set out to create a game that not only looked authentic, but truly transported the player back to the Middle Ages,” said a Warhorse Studios spokesperson. “Every texture, every building and every path was designed based on real historical references.

About Kingdom Come Deliverance II we said: “From the very first moment, Bohemia presents itself as a vast and vibrant setting. The natural environments that stood out in the first game have been enhanced with a higher level of detail and an impressive draw distance that is even more enjoyable on a PC that supports it. Meanwhile, the towns and cities are full of life and activity, with characters going about their daily tasks and events that can trigger side quests, something that players who like alternate quests will really enjoy.”
