Resident Evil 4 remake mod brings back the classic fixed camera of the franchise

Fans of Resident Evil 4 have created a mod that brings the fixed perspective point of view of the original trilogy and Code Veronica to the newest remake of the franchise.

Update:

Modders are creating all kinds of awesome ways to change up and enjoy Resident Evil 4 in different ways, while speedrunners are making authentic mischief with the game, as is often the case with any great release. The last mod that we have been able to discover is one that transforms the game as if it were from the original trilogy thanks to a fixed camera.

It doesn’t seem like the best way to play a game that every now and then confronts us with huge hordes of enemies or gigantic final bosses, and in fact...it’s not playable. We can only enjoy the video, which is not bad as a curiosity, but if we want to play it like this, we will have to wait for someone to dare to carry it out completely.

In fact, around minute 9 we see a scene with a shootout where Leon doesn’t seem to have exactly a good aim, but at least it seems like a more curious mod than the one that turns Ashley... into a mouse.

Capcom is going strong with the remakes

After the great remake of Resident Evil 2 and the more lukewarm reception of Resident Evil 3, Capcom has given us another fantastic throwback with one of the most divisive installments in the series. Even though it is true that it is almost unanimously loved by fans of the classic trilogy, there’s also the feeling that it was the beginning of a change in priorities that led to Resident Evil 5 and Resident Evil 6, the two less loved entries of the series.

Already consecrated as a complete success in sales, it has also been doing amazing with critics, ranking as one of the best titles of the franchise on Metacritic. “A tribute and an update of one of the great classics of third-person action, capable of improving almost everything it touches and lovingly rebuilding what needed a facelift”, we said in our review, where the game scored a fantastic 9. “Unforgettable moments are not lacking, and many others have been rethought with success. The tension and the burden of not knowing if you can handle everyone is still present with waves and hordes of fearsome enemies "
