Respawn’s ‘Star Wars Jedi’ Finale is already in development, EA says

No further details are available at this time.

The ‘Star Wars Jedi series, developed by Respawn Entertainment, came as a surprise to show us that the franchise created by George Lucas still has a place in video games. Although we knew a year ago that the saga would continue with a third installment thanks to the main actor, Cameron Monaghan, Electronic Arts has confirmed the development of this game.

At EA’s recent Investor Day presentation, President of Entertainment and Technology Laura Miele gave the first official details from the company, mentioning that this is the “final chapter” of the series.

“We have delivered some of the highest quality and best-selling Star Wars games of all-time, with over $5 billion in net bookings,” she said. “This impressive track record includes of course the Star Wars Jedi games, where over 40 million Star Wars fans have connected with Cal Kestis and his arc of becoming a powerful Jedi. Respawn is working hard to bring the final chapter of this thrilling story to players.”

Star Wars Jedi, a success that continues to grow

Respawn Entertainment has been able to create one of the most outstanding video games ever made about the Star Wars universe, as evidenced by the success of its two installments, with a third already in development.

In the analysis of ‘Star Wars Jedi: Survivor’ by our colleagues in Spain, it was noted that “it goes a step further in all its sections. It respects the playable base of its predecessor, but improves it with new features and changes of the most successful. The story is deeper, delving into the traumatic situations of its protagonists and the concept of family that unites them. On the gameplay level, the stances (fighting styles) bring freshness and give shape to a more elaborate and precise combat system, which still fails in closed spaces. The planets of the galaxy are structured around the metroidvania formula, much improved compared to the first installment.”
