Rocksteady confirms a new Batman Arkham game as before: single-player and opposite to Suicide Squad
Batman Arkham Asylum and Batman Arkham City fans have been dreaming for years of a title on par with the most acclaimed in the franchise.

There are two things that all Batman fans are very clear about. One is that the best thing that could happen to the character is to star in a new single-player video game with no game-as-a-service components or multiplayer aspect. The other is that Batman Arkham Asylum and Arkham City are the two best titles in the history of the franchise. So today is a day to celebrate, as Jason Schreier has confirmed that Rocksteady is working on a new single-player Batman Arkham.
We’ve already given the good news, but there’s bad news: that’s all we know, and from Bloomberg’s comment that we’ll have to wait several years to see it, so we can only fantasize about the possibility that the proposal follows the line marked by the aforementioned Arkham Asylum and Arkham City.
In any case, it is clear that neither the studio nor Warner Bros. want their next project to end the same way as Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League, a complete failure that didn’t look bad to begin with, but only confirmed its demise three weeks ago when it received a final content update.
Where to play the best Batman games
We have mentioned both Batman Arkham Asylum and Batman Arkham City several times. The first was an adventure set in Arkham Asylum, full of exploration, puzzles, and combat. The second went further, inviting us to roam Arkham from end to end in a GTA-style sandbox. Both are currently playable on almost all platforms, as they are on PC (Steam) and have remasters on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch.
