Performance

This laptop is an ideal tool for those who are constantly on the move and do not want to sacrifice power, whether for work or play. Its AMD Ryzen AI MAX 390 CPU surprised us with its performance, managing to run without problems demanding titles such as:

  • Stellar Blade
  • Cyberpunk 2077
  • Clair Obscur: Expedition 33

In the case of Cyberpunk 2077, it averaged 97 FPS on medium graphics settings, at native resolution, with FSR 3 and AMD’s FFX Super Resolution 3 enabled in quality mode. The other two titles remained above 60 FPS, also in medium quality. It should be noted that all these tests were performed on battery power only.

Furthermore, thanks to its integrated Radeon 8060S graphics, this laptop is an excellent choice for creative tasks such as photo and video editing in 4K resolution.

In heavy workloads, it offers an average battery life of 1 hour and 50 minutes, thanks to its 70 Wh battery.

Performance Score: 9.5

Display

The 13.4-inch ROG Nebula Display stands out for its image quality, refresh rate, and color fidelity. It is perfect for both gaming and creating visual content. It is protected with Corning Gorilla Glass 5 and is Stylus compatible, extending its creative functionality. One of its most notable advantages is that it can be used as a tablet by simply removing the magnetic keyboard.

Sound

This model incorporates an audio system with dual 2W speakers, Smart Amp technology, Dolby Atmos, and Hi-Res Audio certification for headphones. Through the Dolby software, it is possible to select profiles such as:

  • Dynamic
  • Game
  • Movie
  • Music (this includes an intelligent equalizer with 3 profiles: detailed, balanced, and warm)
  • Voice

In addition, three additional profiles can be customized with surround sound virtualization and volume leveler.

The audio is clear and balanced, although we noticed a slight lack of bass that can be compensated for with EQ adjustments.

Sound score: 8.5

Design

One of the most striking aspects is that all the hardware is integrated behind the screen, something uncommon in notebooks. The back cover with a transparent section reveals part of the components, following the characteristic ASUS style. It features stainless steel and copper vapor chamber, which covers 54% more than the previous generation, and second-generation Arc Flow fans with 70% larger air inlets, keeping the system cool even during intense sessions.

Total weight is 3.5 lbs (2.64 lbs display + 0.85 lbs keyboard). The magnetic connection between the keyboard and display is precise and firm. In addition, the keyboard serves as a protective cover, and the touchpad is well sized and responsive.

Design score: 9

AI integration and additional

The ROG Flow Z13 2025 is a certified Copilot+ PC, with 50 TOPS in the NPU. This means that artificial intelligence is not an add-on but an intrinsic part of the system, which allows you to work more agilely with AI-supported platforms without having to consume so many resources. As is to be expected in new-generation laptops, it already comes integrated with the Copilot button on the keyboard and maintains the MyASUS software for easy management and updating of the equipment.

AI integration score: 9

Conclusion

The ROG Flow Z13 2025 is an interesting proposal for all those gamers who value mobility but do not want to give up good performance. This convertible is an option to take into account if you are one of those users who walk from one place to another, especially because its keyboard protects the screen wonderfully. Integrating the Ryzen AI MAX 390 from AMD has been a success, especially for the performance it offers only with the battery, showing what is one of the best processors of its kind. Finally, the fact that it can be transformed into a tablet that can be used with Stylus, gives endless possibilities to content creators and designers.

Best

  • High-quality display
  • Outstanding performance
  • Good battery life for demanding tasks

Worst

  • The charger is large
  • The keyboard feels fragile (although it is sturdy)
  • It lacks a dedicated connector

Final Score: 9.2
