Say goodbye to the infamous Disney World show known for making kids cry
Mickey’s company has announced that ‘It’s Tough to be a Bug!’ will soon be replaced by another show.

Strange things happen in Disneyland’s Haunted Mansion, where the dead rise and creatures from beyond the grave haunt the place. Some children may come away with a tear or two in their eye, but it’s a mythical spectacle that remains one of the park’s great attractions. Another show, however, presents a much less rosy future. ‘It’s Tough to be a Bug!' takes place at the Tree of Life Theater in Disney World Florida’s Animal Kingdom. The show brings tears to the eyes of the little ones in the house and has been canceled.
Why Some Kids Are Afraid of ‘It’s Tough to be a Bug!
Park visitors can enjoy the show through March 17. Based on the movie “A Bug’s Life,” the main character, Flik, leads this 3D show in which audience members become insects and discover how they survive in nature. Despite the educational component, some children cry because of the 4D elements: “During the show, dodge flying quills from a tarantula, feel a harmless spray from a soldier termite and sniff the putrid ‘defense stench’ from a stink bug,” reads the official description.
Some children also do not like the fact that insects seem to crawl up their bodies and the villainous grasshopper scares some of the audience. Anyway, Disney is preparing a new show that will premiere in the winter of 2025. It is called “Zootopia: Better Zoogether! ‘, based on the 2016 movie of the same name.
