Scarlett Johansson is the favorite to star alongside Robert Pattinson in the sequel to ‘The Batman’
The actress jumps from Marvel to DC Studios with her possible addition to Matt Reeves’ saga.
After becoming the highest-grossing actress of all time thanks to her starring role in the Jurassic World reboot, Scarlett Johansson has a busier schedule than ever. Last month, she confirmed that she will lead the unexpected reboot of ‘The Exorcist’, and now rumors that she will be the villain in the live-action version of ‘Tangled’ are compounded by the news that she is in negotiations to appear in The Batman Part 2 alongside Robert Pattinson. A perfect signing considering the actress’s long experience in the Marvel Cinematic Universe and her extensive legacy in the action genre.
Everything we know about ‘The Batman Part 2’
Directed once again by Matt Reeves, the second installment of ‘The Batman’ will begin filming in the spring and is scheduled to hit theaters in October 2027. Its predecessor, released in 2022, grossed $772 million internationally and received Oscar nominations for Best Makeup and Hairstyling, Sound, and Visual Effects. No details have yet been revealed about the new story of “the Dark Knight” or the role Johansson is considering, but Zoe Kravitz is not expected to return as Catwoman.
