Bloober Team

Silent Hill remake is in development, bringing back the origin of one of Konami’s sagas

Back to where Konami’s psychological horror saga was born.

Update:

Silent Hill 2 was just the beginning. After there were doubts about whether Bloober Team’s work would live up to the franchise, today it is clear that they understood the franchise well. Konami has announced during its Konami Press Start event that a remake of the original Silent Hill is already in development and that, once again, Bloober will be the studio in charge of introducing us to the story of Harry Mason through the town of Silent Hill.

For now the details are more than scarce, with only a screen showing the title of the game and that it is in development, avoiding giving a first glimpse or a release window. Also, the platforms on which it will arrive are unknown, although we can only assume that, like the previous remake, it will be arriving on PlayStation 5 and PC.

A new opportunity to play Silent Hill

The announcement of this title should not remain as a simple remake. It is an opportunity to play again a classic that has been trapped in time and that playing it legally today is more than complicated. This title, which debuted on the original PlayStation in 1999, can only be played either if you have a copy of the original game or through digital format on PSP and PlayStation 3.

That the collaboration between Konami and Bloober Team will continue is no surprise either. In February, the CEO of the Polish studio, Piotr Babieno, announced that they would continue working together. And although it was known that a new remake was on the horizon, everything pointed more to Silent Hill 3. Nor should we forget that this is not the only project they are working on, since at the end of last year Bloober announced its survival horror game, Cronos: The New Dawn.
