‘Solo Leveling’ threatens to break a historic record above ‘One Piece,’ ‘Kimetsu no Yaiba,’ and ‘Naruto’
The A-1 Pictures series is close to one million ratings on Crunchyroll.

‘Solo Leveling’ is about to reach a milestone that no other anime series has achieved on Crunchyroll. The adaptation of the popular Korean manhwa is rapidly approaching one million ratings on the streaming platform, a figure that would place it above giants of the genre such as ‘One Piece,’ ‘Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba,’ and ‘Naruto.’
At present, the anime has already received around 950,000 ratings, a figure that continues to grow rapidly. If it maintains its current pace, it could exceed one million in a short time, which would make it the most highly rated series in the history of the service.

This is striking because many of the series it surpasses have been accumulating followers for decades. ‘One Piece,’ for example, is one of the pillars of modern anime and has well over a thousand episodes. ‘Naruto’ and ‘Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba’ are also among the most popular titles in the catalog. However, in terms of the number of ratings on Crunchyroll, Solo Leveling is already ahead.
A recent phenomenon that is growing rapidly
The growth of Solo Leveling has been particularly rapid. Unlike other anime classics, the series has a few episodes, but it has managed to mobilize a huge fan base in a very short time.
The story follows Sung Jinwoo, a hunter considered the weakest in his world who, after surviving a mysterious incident in a dungeon, gains a unique power that allows him to level up without limits. From that moment on, he undergoes a radical transformation that turns him into one of the most powerful characters in the genre.
The series’ popularity isn’t limited to Crunchyroll. Solo Leveling was already recognized as Anime of the Year at the 2025 Crunchyroll Anime Awards, confirming its huge impact among anime fans.
However, the record in question only refers to the number of ratings within the platform. It does not measure total audience or global popularity. Even so, the data reflects the extent to which Solo Leveling has become one of the great recent phenomena in anime.
