Sony and Xbox together on the track: the trick to play Forza Horizon 5 with rivals on both consoles
Racing enthusiasts can now enjoy this gem with their friends, regardless of their console.
For years, Forza Horizon 5 was an Xbox and PC exclusive, but with its arrival on PlayStation 5, the competition has expanded like never before. Thanks to full crossplay support, players on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC can now race together, breaking down platform barriers in one of the most celebrated open-world racing games.
How crossplay works in ‘Forza Horizon 5’
Playground Games has confirmed that crossplay is enabled across all platforms, meaning:
- PS5 players can race against Xbox and PC users in online events.
- Leaderboards are universal, allowing competition across all systems.
- Convoys and multiplayer lobbies are cross-platform, making it easy to team up with friends.
However, cross-progression is not supported, meaning progress made on one platform does not carry over if you switch to another.
With Forza Horizon 5 now available on PS5, PlayStation players can finally experience the Horizon Festival, competing against Xbox and PC rivals in a seamless multiplayer environment. Whether you’re drifting through Mexico’s landscapes or battling for leaderboard dominance, this crossplay integration ensures the biggest racing showdown yet.
