Sony announces the first State of Play of 2024: Stellar Blade, Rise of the Ronin, and more

PlayStation has just announced its first State of Play showcase of the year, set for this very week, with over 40 minutes of upcoming games for PS5 and PS VR2.

After the Xbox Developer Direct from Microsoft, it’s now Sony’s turn to show off what we can expect from their gaming division this year. Through a post on their official blog, PlayStation has just announced the first State of Play of 2024. It is expected to be over 40 minutes long and will offer new information about some of the most anticipated PS5 exclusives for this year.

When is the first State of Play of 2024

The State of Play will take place January 31, 2024 at 2pm PT, and as mentioned above it’ll take up almost a full hour with content, news, and release dates for some of the biggest games coming to PlayStation 5 in 2024.

What to expect from the State of Play on January 31, 2024

Although Sony has only confirmed that we will mainly see Rise of the Ronin, Team Ninja’s new action RPG, and Stellar Blade, there is also mention of “other games” for PS5 and PS VR2 “in 2024 and beyond.”
