‘Spaceman’s new trailer from Adam Sandler and Netflix is not fit for arachnophobes
Adam Sandler’s new movie, ‘Spaceman’, just revealed the incredibly terrifying-yet-charismatic arachnid partner he’ll have throughout the Netflix sci-fi drama.
One of the main releases to take into account this coming spring on streaming platforms is ‘Spaceman’, a science fiction film with Adam Sandler in the leading role, and that we can enjoy on Netflix. A new trailer has just been released in which we can discover who will be the arachnid companion of Sandler during his space adventure.
Sandler dares a new record in ‘Spaceman’
Accustomed to seeing him in comedy films, it will be strange to see Adam Sandler in this science fiction drama, in which he plays a Czech astronaut.
The official synopsis says: “Six months into a solitary research mission to the edge of the solar system, an astronaut, Jakub (Adam Sandler), realizes that the marriage he left behind might not be waiting for him when he returns to Earth. Desperate to fix things with his wife, Lenka, he is helped by a mysterious creature from the beginning of time he finds hiding in the bowels of his ship. Hanuš (voiced by Paul Dano) works with Jakub to make sense of what went wrong before it is too late. "
That creature to which the description refers is none other than the friendly, although horrifying-looking, spider that we can see in the trailer. It is voiced by Paul Dano, who recently played The Riddler in ‘The Batman’, and whom we have also seen in other films such as ‘The Fabelmans’, ‘12 Years a Slave’ and ‘Little Miss Sunshine’. Along with both of them, the cast also includes Carey Mulligan (‘Drive’, ‘Saltburn’), while the film is directed by Johan Renck (‘Chernobyl’).
‘The Astronaut’ premieres March 1 on Netflix.
