Spider-Man: The Animated Series is one of those indelible memories for those who grew up in the 90s. However, its strange and inconclusive ending left many fans waiting decades for closure. With the success of X-Men ’97 in 2024, hopes for seeing an animated sequel to Spider-Man TAS were rekindled—especially after that brief but significant cameo in the season finale. And while we won’t be getting a direct sequel in series form, we will be getting an official continuation... on paper.
