Spotify is turning 20 and is celebrating with a Wrapped that beats all the others
The limited-time “Party of the Year(s)” feature lets users revisit their full listening history since joining the platform.
Every year-end, Spotify—like other entertainment and streaming services—has provided us with a recap of everything we’ve listened to over the past 12 months. But this time it is different, as the music streaming service is aiming for something bigger to celebrate its 20th anniversary: the platform has launched a limited-time feature that lets us access a “Wrapped” summary that puts all other year-end recaps to shame, offering a look back at everything we’ve listened to over the years.
How do I access my 20-year Spotify summary?
To access this feature, simply search for “Spotify 20” or “Party of the Year(s)” within the app. Once found, a chronological summary will appear, featuring a comprehensive overview of the user’s activity on the platform over the years. This includes the date they joined the platform, the first song they listened to, and the most-played artists over the years.
Another feature users will find is a list of the top 120 most-played songs on Spotify. This list shows the total number of plays per song, providing a clearer picture of how many times the song has been listened to on the service. At the same time, there is also a counter showing how many unique songs a user has listened to. All of these statistics can be shared as part of a series of cards at the end of the summary. The “Party of the Year(s)” will be available over the next six weeks to users worldwide.

In recent news about the service, Spotify raised its subscription prices early this year. The Individual Premium plan increased from $11.99 to $12.99 per month. Those sharing accounts will also feel the impact; the Duo plan jumped from $16.99 to $18.99, while the Family plan increased to $21.99, up from $19.99.
