Stalker 2 gives us an amazing look at The Zone in a new deep-dive dev log
The Zone calls us to explore it once again, and we’ve now got an incredible look at true gameplay for Stalker 2 thanks to a new deep dive.
The world of the STALKER series is a living, breathing, pulsating, suffering world that makes you care about it thanks to the fears and desires of the people who you meet in there, without having to resort to endless cinematics, but instead through the interactivity and potential that the video game offers as a medium. We’ve been waiting for STALKER 2 for quite a while now, and it seems like after a few rounds of delays, we’re finally getting closer.
This time, the developers at GSC Game World have released a new deep dive for STALKER 2: Heart of Chornobyl, which brings with it over 30 minutes of gameplay. It is a declaration of intent from its creators, one that shows that the upcoming title will be just as tough and hardcore as the previous titles in the series.
The delays have been continuous and for the first time, no one has been heard complaining about it, because there is respect behind it. The world of Stalker 2 awaits us, harsh and strange, without numbers that occasionally raise our status. Survival depends on our vital adaptation to the environment.
So here we are. Let’s remain expectant, replaying the classics that were finally released on consoles, envying those who have recently tasted Stalker 2 at the Summer Game Fest, and silently waiting for the game to be ready. Let’s hope that later the sales will be successful, it breaks records in Game Pass, and that the tremendous effort that the people are making will be worth it.
