Star Wars continues to expand its vast universe with the release of new products, now focused on different Disney+ series, including the successful The Mandalorian or the recent Obi-Wan Kenobi and Andor. The film saga closed its last trilogy in December 2019 with the theatrical release of Episode IX: Rise of Skywalker, the film that ended the Skywalker saga. Star Wars: trilogies, series, spin-offs...

The Star Wars saga began in 1977 with the release of A New Hope, Episode IV, followed by Episodes V and VI in 1980 and 1983, respectively. It was in 1999 when the new trilogy was released with Episode I, The Phantom Menace, followed by Episodes II and III in 2002 and 2005, respectively. In 2008 the animated series Star Wars The Clone Wars began, which was set between Star Wars Episode II: Attack of the Clones and Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith.

After the success of The Clone Wars animated series, 2014 saw the release of its new animated series Star Wars Rebels, which is set just before the events of Rogue One. Already in 2015, Episode VII, The Force Awakens, the beginning of the current trilogy, was released, while in 2017 Episode VIII: The Last Jedi was released; between them came to the cinema two spin-offs that expanded the story of certain characters or moments, such as Rogue One and Solo, in 2016 and 2018, respectively.
